Winners for the first-ever DefenseScoop 50 Awards will be announced on October 3, 2023!

Voting is now closed for the DefenseScoop 50 Awards. Winners will be recognized on October 3 for their outstanding achievements and contributions to advancing U.S. defense and national security. Honor the trailblazers and leaders in and outside the U.S. military who are dedicated to using modern technology to revolutionize defense. These awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of the defense visionaries who are shaping how technology is becoming a central fixture in deterring and defending against emerging threats.

Award Categories

The most prestigious DefenseScoop 50 category, the Golden Defense award recognizes the visionaries who have spent their careers leading the U.S. military’s transformation into a modern, innovative force.

The uniformed and civilian executives leading defense programs that are breaking down barriers, disrupting legacy processes and driving innovative approaches in support of the National Defense Strategy.

Private sector executives who are instrumental partners, working hand-in-hand with the U.S. military services and DOD to inject innovation and transformation across the defense ecosystem.

The cutting-edge, innovative application of technology that has disrupted traditional defense operations and processes leading to enhanced impact on mission and support elements.

Early-career executives whose exceptional achievements over the past year have put them on track to be next-generation leaders in the defense community.

Award Criteria

Individuals: Accomplishments should have occurred between April 2022-present. Nominations for members of the defense industrial base are limited to the “Industry Leadership” category.

Programs: Nominated programs in the “Innovation” category must be current government programs
