Upgrades to the UH-60 Black Hawks will allow the helicopters to carry and deploy the Army's "launched effects" drones, expected to field in 2026.

Sikorsky has received a contract to integrate its MATRIX autonomy system onto a UH-60M and conduct demonstrations next year.

The program is back on track to getting competitive prototypes flying by 2024, moving the Army closer to a more modern aircraft fleet.
