The L3Harris-built Navigation Technology Satellite-3 (NTS-3) satellite launched on a United Launch Alliance Vulcan rocket Aug. 12 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The new deals will purchase non-Earth imagery from HEO, medium-wave infrared imagery from SatVu, and radio-frequency sensing capabilities from Sierra Nevada.
The GMTI satellites will also help inform the Space Force's efforts to develop a constellation that can track targets flying through the air, known as AMTI.
