Everpure’s Dan Kent on modernizing defense data management
Dan Kent, VP & Field CTO, Federal, for Everpure, discussed the challenges of data management within the Department of Defense. He asserted that the primary barrier is not a lack of data, but rather fragmentation and silos caused by classification walls and disconnected systems. To achieve mission advantage, Kent advocates for software-defined storage and an enterprise data cloud to connect data across the edge, cloud and on-premise locations. By integrating high-performance data management with AI and analytics, organizations can move from fragmented datasets to actionable intelligence, enabling faster, real-time decision-making in critical areas such as logistics, cybersecurity, and weapon systems.
