Army looking to expand its new space operations branch amid increasing demand for capabilities

Army establishes new branch dedicated to space operations

The Space Operations Branch will be “equipped to deliver specialized capabilities to enable successful Army and joint force operations,” the service said in a statement.

Army to prioritize counterspace tech in future budget requests

Army stands up new career field for enlisted soldiers focused on space operations

The military occupation specialty 40D will focus on training soldiers to operate electronic warfare and other space-based capabilities.
