SAP’s Jamison Braun on breaking linear defense processes

Jamison Braun, SVP and Managing Director, U.S. Public Services at SAP, discussed the need to increase speed in Department of Defense operations without sacrificing accountability. He identified an “execution gap” between advanced tactical weapon systems and the slower, sequential institutional backbone supporting them. To bridge this gap, Braun advocates for moving away from linear processing toward a common data infrastructure that allows simultaneous access for procurement, legal, and supply chain teams. By implementing an “autonomous enterprise” model using AI-driven nodes, the military can achieve decision advantage.
